Spring StrongKids Competition 2024

A Spring StrongKids competition returns to Viking Performance Training for the first time in several years!
Bring the kids in Memorial Day weekend’s Saturday for a great time competing, showing and testing their true strength! Kids being strong, being active, and most importantly- having a great time. Prizes and medals for 1st through 3rd, as well as contest shirts for everyone who signs up!
The competition is Saturday, May 25 and begins at 12:00pm with going over rules and the events!
We will order several extra shirts for kids who sign up all the way to the contest date, but in order to help us get a more accurate order count please sign up in advance!

Age groups are as follows… 2-3, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years, 10-11 years, 12 years. Events and challenges will be increasingly scaled to make them truly age appropriate for the StrongKids!!!
We will be competing in 4 kid-friendly strongman events!
EVENTS
1. Deadlift Medley! – StrongKids will have a series of increasingly challenging deadlifts (which could be Kettlebells, Barbells, Trap Hex Bars, etc)! When StrongKids get to the last deadlift, they will use their remaining time limit to get as many reps as possible!
2. Medicine Ball Carry & Load Medley! – StrongKids will have a series of increasingly heavier medicine balls lined up to stack on boxes. Each MB will be on the “Start” Line and need picked up, carried to the box and loaded on top! The fastest time or heaviest medicine balls loaded wins!
3. Obstacle Course to Tire Flip! – One of the most popular parts of StrongKids classes has always been the obstacle courses. In this new installment StrongKids will start with a mini Obstacle Course, and at the end a Tire will be waiting for them – the StrongKid will flip the tire from the starting spot across the finish line. Fastest time wins!
4. Farmer’s Carry Medley! – This one’s strength and endurance, just like the Vikings had to have! StrongKids will have a Farmer’s Carry (dumbbells or kettlebells) from the start line to the end line, then set the weights down, run back to the start, and grab the next pair of weights. Fastest time for completed runs wins, or heaviest weight / most distance for unfinished runs!
Entry fee: $37. Last day to register is Thursday, May 23rd!

In consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, and my assignees, waive, and release all rights and damages I may have against Jerry Handley, The City of Morgantown, Viking Performance Training LLC, StrongKids, Carol Atkins, Commercial Land Development, and all sponsors of the event, their representatives and assigns, for any and all injuries incurred by me in conjunction with this competition and in traveling to and from the event. And in further consideration of permission being granted to me to participate in the Strong Kids Competition. I hereby grant Viking Performance Training and/or any other approved video or entertainment organization and all of their agents, successors, licensees, and assigns, the right to photograph or otherwise reproduce (whether by film, tape, still photography or otherwise) my voice, appearance, and name, and to exhibit, distribute, transmit, and/or otherwise exploit any and all media, including without limitation, by means of still photography, motion pictures, radio, television, television motion pictures, video, printing or any other medium now known or hereafter devised, including with respect also to any merchandising, advertising, and/or publicity, and the right to use my name and information about me in any connection with any of the foregoing. The rights granted by me hereunder are granted for the entire universe and shall endure in perpetuity and no further compensation shall be payable to me at anytime in connection therewith. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to obligate Viking Performance Training and/or any other approved video or entertainment organization, to photograph or otherwise reproduce my voice, appearance or name, or to make use of any rights granted herein. I also understand that the aforementioned rights may be reassigned at any time without further consent. I understand that Viking Performance Training and/or any other approved video or entertainment organization are videotaping and photographing the Event in express reliance upon foregoing, and I represent and agree that I am free to grant the rights granted to Viking Performance Training LLC, StrongKids, and/or any other approved video or entertainment organization hereunder.
